Buddy slim exhibitionist?

Reading the Buddy slim exercise trainer, does it occur to any one else that the pictures shown are explicitly sens/sexual in nature.  Try yoga…for Chicago area people there are excellent sites in and near the city.  Try to visit the free millenium park yoga, pilates and dancercise near the ‘Bean’ on Saturdays starting in June.  It’s not June now although it’s 64 degrees a record breaking high for this area.

New News: on trans fats are bad for you

Hope everybody tries the old Tom Turkey this weekend! Good Food Made Easy

Use these guidelines from chef Michel Nischan to transform high-fat meals into pure and simple ones.
Go organic—or at least local “You don’t have to buy absolutely everything organic to make a difference to your health,” says Nischan. “But everyone’s budget has room for at least one organic or local item. You save money buying organic in season as opposed to buying nonorganic out of season.”

Overhaul your pantry Ban high-fat, highly processed foods, and stock up on fruits and vegetables. Longer-lasting root vegetables such as celery, carrots, and onions are good ones to have on hand all the time—and lend themselves to a wide variety of preparations, from chowder to crudités.

Make it complete Rice and beans have been a staple for centuries because the combination provides a complete protein. In fact, any grain, when mixed with a legume, forms a complete protein. For variety, look into whole grains such as farro, barley, spelt, and millet. Try quinoa—it’s the only whole grain that provides a complete protein from a single plant source.

Rethink what’s on your plate “Most folks eat this way: 8 to 12 ounces meat, 2 ounces vegetables, and 2 ounces starch [rice or potatoes],” Nischan says. Instead, try this: 4 to 5 ounces high-quality meat (wild-caught salmon, pasture-raised beef or pork, or organic chicken), 4 ounces whole grains or legumes, and 4 ounces vegetables.

Oil the food, not the pan Heat the pan, then oil only the item you’re cooking. Your food will get just as crisp and brown, but you won’t have any extra oil swimming around in the pan. Bonus: You save money by using less oil and you reduce your consumption of the unhealthy free radicals released when oil is heated to smoking.

Give your meals an oil change Cook with canola or grapeseed oil, and use your more expensive olive, sesame, or walnut oils as a final drizzle on the dish. That way you get the flavor of good-quality oil without spending a fortune.

Go naturally sweet Nischan’s philosophy on desserts is simple: eat less of them, though don’t deprive yourself. “I like to use toasted whole-grain bread with extra-virgin olive oil as a base, then layer on lightly heated superripe fruits and a drizzle of honey.”

Hazy crazy days

Summer in Chicago is hot and self defeatism abounds! The saving grace is being too tired to cook and eat much so fresh fruits do the job!

After taking up free Yoga in the Millenium Park, Downtown Chicago this summer on Saturdays, I’ve put some of O-o-o-o back in my m-p-h stomach and trimmed upper arm body fat with two (full) pushups a day and deep breathing.

Green tea is a verifiable resource for diet

Try green tea, folks!  Wu-Yi tea is from the oolong tea family, which has been studied extensively by the scientific community in labs all over the world. The reason why this type of tea is so fiercely sought after is three-fold.

One: It May Burn Fat – Our tea has an incredibly high natural concentration of polymerized polyphenols. These polyphenol compounds have been clinically proven (Suntory Research Center in Osaka, Japan)to activate enzymes that cause triglycerides to dissolve, producing fat-burning effects. They also improve metabolism which facilitates weight loss through natural body processes.

Two: It May Fight the Effects of Ageing – Our tea is particularly rich in catechins, theaflavins and thearubigins. For those of us without a medical degree, these are all powerful antioxidants. Natural antioxidants are the best defense against the “free radicals” that accumulate in our body over time with stress, pollution, and by consuming chemical additives found in many foods we eat each day.

Research studies have concluded that free radicals are a major factor in causing the signs of ageing such as dark spots and wrinkling of the skin, as well as other diseases related to ageing such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, dementia, arthritis, inflammatory disease and heart/artery disease. In other words, free radicals are not to be taken lightly.

[In one 2004 study by Dr. Kenichi Yanagimoto and colleagues from the University of California, Davis, people who drank oolong daily experienced a remarkable 50 percent reduction in free radicals within just 15 days.]

Three: Very Limited Supply – Since our Authentic Wu-Yi only comes from the prime growing region of Mt. Wu Yi Shan in China’s Fujian Province, there is not enough seasonal supply to meet the growing demand. That is why Eastern Junction Co. went directly to China to purchase our own 800-acre tea estate right on the gentle slope of the west-facing mountain side before demand shot up to what it is today.

Fact:
We are one of the ONLY companies from the west to own a piece of Mt. Wu Yi Shan, and one of the ONLY distributors to supply AUTHENTIC oolong. DO NOT ACCEPT CHEAP IMITATIONS – DO NOT GET SCAMMED.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s see what others are saying about Wu-Yi tea:
